Zach’s Take on Big Brother 10 for Week 3

After watching my friend Keesha’s HOH week, I have continued to see improvements in her gameplay. Her HOH nominations were a bold move on her part, but I agree with them hands now. She actually nominated her adversaries that aided in the destruction of Steven; a move not even Danielle from season 8 could do to save Nick from the chopping block. So, kudos to you Keesha, a very bold move. In addition, even after mass coercion she stuck to her guns, and did not use the POV– very nice. She may find out the hard way that Libra will back stab her in the end, but at least she has her as a friend for a few weeks to come.

JESSIE VERSUS EVEL DICK

Jessie thinks he is using Evel Dick’s plans to win. He’s intimidating! He’s in faces! He’s trying to control the actions of the HOH in non-subtle ways? He’annoying! But just how much IS he like Evel Dick. Let’s do a comparison.

April Nominates and POV

April Nominates Jessie and Memphis. Jesse successfully sets the house in an uproar yet again. April and Libra arguing, Keesha and April arguing, Libra and Jesse, Keesha and Jesse, Michelle and April even Renny gets thrown in there. Jerry buts in and tells Libra to shut up because he's trying to talk.

POV comp was played tonight (early morning). Sounds like Libra took a trip to Hawaii (over a letter from home) and $1000, Michelle has to wear unitard for a week, April won $5000, Memphis got a slop pass, Jesse I think gets a letter from home and Jerry won POV, $4000 and is on slop.

Michelle is PISSED and wants to quit the game.

Jessie won by an overwhelming margin with 81.2% of the vote compared to Tristan with 11.3% and Nelly with 7.5%.

Several Interviews with Angie

Exclusive Interview: Angie, from 'Big Brother 10'

Big Brother 10 could have been so much different. Even if we are only a few weeks into the season, I'm already sad about all the missed opportunities. For my money, the two smartest and most interesting houseguests were Brian and Angie, two people who became best friends and two people who have now been evicted. It's all Brian's fault, really. If he hadn't played the game so damn hard in the first week, the Brian-Angie-Steven triumvirate could have been an excellent alliance. But, alas, it was not to be, and Angie is the latest evicted houseguest on Big Brother 10. We had the chance to talk with Angie this morning about her time in the Big Brother.

'Big Brother' Exit Q&A: Angie Swindell

Angie Swindell — the 29-year-old pharmaceutical rep from Virginia — was unanimously booted from the Big Brother house last night. EW.com talks to her about her passionate exit speech (''I wanted to individualize everyone''), her thoughts about Jessie (''a very, very sweet individual''), and what she really thinks of Libra.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Wow, Julie Chen faked you out there at the end. Did you think Jessie was going to get voted out?
ANGIE SWINDELL: I was completely surprised. I first thought, ''Holy crap, my speech worked and I'm actually staying in the house.'' Then she let me down very hard. I thought, ''Okay, well, it's what I expected.''

Interview With Angie Of Big Brother 10

We chatted with Angie, the third Big Brother 10 houseguest to be eliminated from Big Brother 10 and found out what prior seasons she was a fan of and what is really motivating Keesha to defend Libra.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Angie, how’s it been going since you left the house last night?

A. Angie, Big brother 10: I had one of the best night’s sleep I have had in a while and it’s kind of strange to use a telephone again.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Since there are many Big Brother fans out there who miss the feeds, AfterDark, and don’t have time to read up on everyone’s bio, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

A. Angie, Big Brother 10: Before I went into the Big Brother house I was in Orlando doing pharmaceutical sales.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Were you as fortunate as Steven to get a nice three month leave of absence or did you quit your job?

Head of Household #3: Keesha

Living in the Big Brother house is an experience I will never forget. I love being here with all of these new people and learning so much by each and every one of them. The guys in the house are great even Jessie who can be a little brat sometimes!!!!!! I have made a huge connection with some of the ladies in the house also. April is by far the most similar to myself and at first it was hard to deal with that but as time goes by we have become very close and I have learned a lot about myself by having this friendship with her. Renny is by far the closest to me in the house, I trust her more then anyone.

We have a Winner

April says "OK, Dan I'm ready". He gets up and proceeds to give her a pep talk. It was a good one and funny too. Michelle is crying, she wants to jump but doesn't want to let her family down. April offers her a deal not to put her on the block or use the veto to put her up. Michelle resists taking the deal, April says "I can't offer you much more than that".

Why didn't Michelle's alliance give her some support and encouragement.

After more than 2 1/2 hours, Michelle is hurting bad and takes the deal with April, then she jumps down.

April is the new HOH. I'm sure she and Ollie will make good use of the "privacy".

HOH Competition

Well as predicted Angie was eliminated by a vote of 8-0. The HOH competition is endurance. They had to stand on the ledge of a building while intermittently, the building shook (simulating an earthquake) and wind, dust and paper blew at them.

Jerry was first to jump down, Libra was second, then Dan, Ollie and Jesse. Michelle, Renny and April a while after the others. Still no deals being made. Renny then turns around to face the building and was disqualified.

After 2 hours we still have April and Michelle hanging on. everyone sits watching, no deals, no encouragement, no prodding to jump or hang on, just quiet.

Wake Me Up When Big Brother's Over

In a season that was to have no real twists, Big Brother 10 announced on Tuesday it's bringing back America's Player. That means the chosen housemate, if he or she chooses to accept, will get up to $20,000 for doing the viewers' bidding for a week.

The reason? The show is so boring we'd rather watch the Weather Channel. Or Living Lohan.

This cast was supposed to be smarter than the mouth-breathers from season nine. We have more age diversity, a supposedly volatile mix of political opposites, and people with interests beyond tanning booths.

Afternoon Cleaning

It's cleaning day. Wake up music was "All Shook Up" (Elvis) and "Living on the Edge" Aerosmith. Houseguest are all cleaning and primping for tonight's show.

April is convinced it was a fake earthquake and others are starting to believe it too. They think it has something to do with the HOH competition. They have been on indoor lockdown since yesterday which usually means hey are setting up for an endurance comp.

Jessie tells Michelle that after living with Lybra he will not date Black women anymore.

Jerry tells Dan that he has figured out what everyone's strategy is and he knows whats going on. The girls get wind of this and aren't sure if they trust Jerry. Renny says he's a snake.

Big Brother 10 With All-Star Marcellas Reynolds

By Marcellas Reynolds | Article Date: 7/31/2008 12:30 AM

I am a Big Brother savant. Make that idiot savant. I have correctly predicted who has been evicted the past two episodes. I'm gloating, though I realize it's very easy to play armchair quarterback. It amazes me how well I can call the game from the outside the Big Brother house. But from the inside? Twice? Not so much.

Week three's eviction is difficult to call. The house is in utter chaos and very hard to read. This is a cast that hates each other. From day to day, actually hour to hour, alliances change, friendships evaporate and trust never existed anyway.

So what do I think? Really? Uncensored about the House Guests and game thus far?

Shall we start with Jerry? Let's. Jerry gets on my nerves like no house guest, ever. He is the most crotchety, mean-spirited older house guest in the history of Big Brother. This ornery codger makes Kent from Season Two seem like a Trappist monk.

Evening Happenings

The Houseguest were on the Craig Ferguson Show again this evening. It seems they are going to be weekly guests on the show. They were pretty happy about that.

Jerry pulled Memphis aside and apologized for calling him a womanizer. The others are upset that apologized. Everyone confronts him about it. They think he just did it in case the "other side" gets the power. Jerry gets defensive and walks out saying "Fuck it". Memphis comes in and they tell him that Jerry wants an apology for calling him a MF. Memphis says he's isn't going to apologize.

Michelle teaches Jessie how to speak Portuguese.

Houseguest chit chat

Jerry says he will apologize to Memphis before he leaves the house. He also says he was one number off from winning $18 million in the lottery.

Angie tells Memphis that she wants to talk to Keesha again. He doesn't think Keesha will change her mind.

Keesha told Renny that Jerry was upset because he wasn't in any of her HOH pictures except for one while he was sleeping.

Keesha says she was a replacement for someone who was supposedly a porn star. The supposed porn star was bragging about being chosen so they replaced her.

Allison Grodner interviewed about earthquake

No matter where you were at approximately 11:42 Tuesday, you probably weren't staring down a video camera.

Depending on how you reacted when the 5.4 quake struck the Southland, maybe that was a good thing.

The folks who work in and star on reality shows and game shows, talk shows and judge shows? Not so lucky, of course as camera were rolling on them.

Whether they were in Hollywood (Judge Judy) or Studio City (Big Brother) or on the Internet, the reactions that people had ranged from, well, mild to wild.

HAS BIG BROTHER “JUMPED THE SHARK”

Okay, so many of you don’t know what I mean when I ask: “Has Big Brother 10 “jumped the shark?” To be honest, I didn’t know what the term meant until a few years ago and then some of my friends and I started applying in appropriate areas.

So what does “jump the shark” to you novices mean. Well, here’s the definition from the site that gave us the term, Jump the Shark.

Definition:
It's a moment. A defining moment when you know that your favorite television program has reached its peak. That instant that you know from now on...it's all downhill. Some call it the climax. We call it "Jumping the Shark." From that moment on, the program will simply never be the same.

It seems to say Happy Birthday (maybe Keesha or Renny or maybe Lorenza which is Renny's real name) we love you. When it was shown on the CBS broadcast, it was apparently backwards.

Big Brother 10: The Last Season?

Big Brother has been a regular part of most reality TV fans viewing agenda for many years. It seemed at one point that Big Brother might go on and on forever, but that has changed with Big Brother 10 and the future isn't looking bright.

Since the beginning of Big Brother 10 I have literally receive hundreds of emails from fans asking "Do you think this is the end of Big Brother?" Normally I receive very little email asking about Big Brother's longevity. What little mail I did receive prior to this season usually was questioning my sanity.
I haven't answered any of those emails because I didn't have an answer for them. If this had been 3 years ago I would have answered, "What have you been smoking? Of course there will be another Big Brother!"

For many Big Brother fans it was obvious during Big Brother 8 and 9 that the production team had lost their way. Going to the production team to ask for directions on how to fix Big brother would be about the same as asking a person lost in a forest for directions.

Big Brother 10: The Zodiac Files

Somewhere among 13 contestants on the tenth season of Big Brother lies the winner of a half-million-dollar prize. The show returned to its roots by choosing players who were strangers to each other - no secret couples, partnerships, or alliances at the outset. It's too early in the show to tell who will win, but astrology can give us definite clues to the strengths and weaknesses of each player.

Big Brother 10 - The Earthquake

The HG's react to the 'quake that hit Southern California on Tuesday, July 29th.

Reality TV stars react to the Los Angeles quake

Tuesday's earthquake didn’t last longer than 15 seconds, but it was enough to send some in Hollywood shaking.

At the “Big Brother” house in Studio City, the tremors sent the houseguests on CBS’s reality series running for the “backyard”; the house is built inside a soundstage. Because “Big Brother” cast members aren’t allowed any communication with the outside world, producers informed them of the earthquake over a PA.

“A lot of them are not from California, so this is the first earthquake they’ve experienced,” says series executive producer Allison Grodner. “Everyone was a bit shaken.”

But cameras never stopped taping. The show airs live online 24 hours a day. “We made sure they felt safe. But they went back to business right after,” she said, explaining that they’ve still got to decide who next to eliminate on Wednesday’s episode.

Dick's Blog post

People just have no balls. Am I the only one that says things TO the people I am talking about?

First I will start with last week. My first Real Player show. I heard it was fucked up and not viewable on Real Player. Let me just say this.... Real Player is being pretty ambitious doing this thing, they have never done it before and they are going out of their element and comfort zone by letting me do this. There have been a lot of hurdles and challenges to over come including this week so far. But, once we get this down, we are taking this show on the road boys and girls...

If you missed it this is a download, not a link....

This is the Real Player show with Bridget from The Girls Next Door.

Big Brother talk

Interview with "Big Brother"'s Steven Daigle

Despite lasting only two weeks on CBS' most recent edition of Big Brother, gay rodeo champion Steven Daigle certainly made an impression on viewers. At first, we worried he might be yet another out contestant who would leave us shaking our heads in shame when a clip of him using a racially insensitive term was broadcast on the Big Brother live feed. However, Steven also showed a sense of humor and charm that was hard to resist.

Unfortunately, despite a solid pre-game strategy and some strong first steps, he was undone by his friendship with Brian, the San Francisco account manager who quickly drew the attention of the other houseguests with his aggressive moves. Perceived as a friend and ally of Brian's, Steven was similarly deemed untrustworthy by the alliance led by Jessie. Also viewed as a strong competitor by his housemates, Steven was evicted in a unanimous vote last week.

Still, Steven was an intriguing part of Big Brother 10 and we were happy for the chance to talk with him about his relationships with the other houseguests, his controversial racial comment and the gay rodeo circuit.

AfterElton.com: Once more we have a Big Brother gay contestant out of the competition pretty quickly. Why do you think that that keeps happening?
Steven Daigle: Gosh, I don’t know. You’re making me feel like a huge disappointment. You know, I watched season 8 and Dustin, he made it fairly far – he made it halfway through the season at least. I don’t really think this season had anything to do with the fact that I was gay, I think it was just some of the choices I made. I really wanted to stay longer, I really wanted to make a good showing for the gay and lesbian community. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out.

Big Brother 10's Steven: "I Didn't Agree with My Nomination"

After the majority of the house evicted mastermind Brian, the houseguests set their sights on those loyal to him. Unfortunately for gay rodeo star Steven Daigle, that put him on the nomination block and, ultimately, out the door. We chatted with Steven to talk about how stressful it was in the house, what he thought of Jessie's self-centered goodbye message and who he thinks is ruling the house.
TVGuide.com: Even though you were bummed, you seemed also happy to be out of the house….
Steven Daigle: Absolutely. I would have loved to go further in the game, but that house is very stressful, very intense. I have a very happy life to go back to, so I'm OK with leaving.

TVGuide.com: Were you expecting the house to be less stressful or intense than it was?
Steven: I think the hardest thing about the house was the down time, the time that everyone at home doesn't see. You only sleep maybe three or four hours every night because there are always people talking or doing something. So you have 20 hours a day to fill with nothing. When you take every single luxury away, you spend that 20 hours a day just sitting around. Everyone thinks it's a dream come true to lay around and do nothing, but it becomes the most stressful aspect of your life.
