Big Brother Finalist letter from casting

Someone posted on Jokers. This letter was presumably for those who made Top 35, they can still communicate with others but limited to NOT talking about being a finalist.

CONGRATULATIONS! You have been selected to be a Finalist for Big Brother 10. We are looking forward to having you with us for this last round of casting in Los Angeles.

Below are some important guidelines and helpful hints for you to keep in mind while you are staying with us.

When your airplane lands in Los Angeles, and you have collected your luggage, you should follow the signs to the Hotel Shuttles. You should board the Shuttle Bus for the

Sheraton Gateway – LAX
6101 W. Century Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90045

( please note there are 2 Sheraton’s at LAX...do not board the wrong shuttle )

DO NOT SPEAK TO ANYONE! If you have any problems please call

Once you arrive at the hotel you will check in at the front desk. Please remember that no one working at the hotel knows why you are here. This should remain that way. Once you have checked in, the front desk clerk will provide you with your room number as well as a room number for the Production office. As soon as you get settled in your room you should immediately call the production office so that we can invite you down to walk thru your schedule for the coming days

PLEASE NOTE: YOU SHOULD NEVER ARRIVE AT THE OFFICE UNANNOUNCED!

During your stay, all incidental expenses are your responsibility. These expenses include outside phone calls, mini bar expenses etc. If you drink or eat anything found in the mini-bar, you must pay for it. Please bring a credit card with you to cover your incidentals. In the event that you do not provide a credit card, the hotel will accept a $100 per day cash deposit. If you do not provide a credit card or cash deposit, you will not have the ability to make phone calls outside the hotel. You might also want to bring a pre-paid calling card to avoid high long distance rates.

You will be given a schedule for meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in the hotel restaurant. If you choose, you can order room service rather than eat in the restaurant. If you miss your scheduled mealtime for any reason (including interviews or medical examinations), you will not be able to make that time up and will need to order room service. If you choose to eat in your room and not take advantage of this or any break, you must call the production office and let us know that you will, be staying in.

IMPORTANT: On travel days you will not be permitted to attend these events. You will be required to stay in your room for this entire day unless we request your presence at a meeting.

We will provide you with per diem for your meals. This per diem can be used in the hotel restaurant or for room service. Please do not lose this money. We will not be responsible for lost per-diem and CAN NOT replace per-diem for any reason

The hotel has a gym and a pool. As with meals, you will be given a scheduled workout time and pool time and may use these facilities ONLY at your designated time. We will not, under any circumstances, take special requests for pool and gym scheduling. If you miss your scheduled pool and/or gym time for any reason including interviews or medical examinations), unfortunately, you will not be able to make that time up. No exceptions!

When attending these meal breaks / pool / gym appointments it is important to remember that Big Brother is a game and protecting your game is very important starting now. With that said, we ask that you keep your presence to a minimum. Anyone seeing you could learn about you just by the way you dress, act or speak...especially if you are a loud talker....remember...protecting your game starts now!

As we’ve discussed, secrecy is of the utmost importance at this point in the process. Please be aware of the following rules:

DO NOT TALK TO ANYONE except our staff. WE MEAN THIS!!! Your involvement from here on out is to remain strictly confidential. This means, for instance, if a housekeeper strikes up a conversation, play dumb. Lie if you must, but do not under any circumstances give out any information as to who you are and why you are here. This rule applies at airport security as well, so prepare your story before arriving at the airport.

There should be no visible traces of why you are here in the hotel room. Please do not leave any paperwork out! As you will be spending a lot of time in your room, please welcome the housekeeper in to clean your room while you are in it...Do not speak with her or for any reason leave your room while she is cleaning it

YOU WILL NOT BE LEAVING THE HOTEL AND YOU CANNOT HAVE ANY VISITORS! If you have friends or relatives in Los Angeles, unfortunately, you will not be able to see them. Nobody should even know where you are. You MAY NOT reveal the hotel address to ANYONE, including your loved ones. Consider yourself sequestered, much as if you were a juror in a court case.

If you make outside calls, give no information out as to your whereabouts or the hotel name.

You will not be able to receive incoming phone calls. If someone calls the hotel and asks for your room, they will be routed to our production office. If an unauthorized phone call comes in to the hotel for you, you will be disqualified from the Finals process.

You may NOT bring a still photography camera, a video camera, camera phone or any kind of recording device with you.

It is important that you understand that you will be spending a great deal of time in your room and must be able to entertain yourself. We will not be available to keep you entertained. For this reason, we suggest you bring with you as many items as possible to keep yourself busy. IE; laptops, magazines, video games, books, I-PODS etc.

These rules are for your protection as you participate in the Final Round. If, for some reason, you are unable to adhere to these rules, you will be disqualified from the remainder of the process and sent home immediately.

Don’t worry: we will take good care of you! We realize that you are likely to become a little stir crazy, but just remember…if you’re lucky, it will get worse from here!

For all other inquiries, please call your Casting Producer.

Thanks for your cooperation. We will follow up this email with an itinerary as soon as possible.

Please respond to let me know that you have received this email!!!
